how to have video in PC

hello(i m french) it s my first use of the cmucam, i have downloaded CMUcam3 frame grabber, and CMUcam2GUI, +Java , the CMUcam is connected with the PC with cable USB DB9 in the port(bearing) 5, the software opens, but I have no return of picture, can you say to me if there is a special handling has to make to see the picture of the camera

    Which program are you using to try and capture and image, the CMUcam2 GUI, or the CMUcam3 Frame Grabber? The CMUcam3 frame grabber requires that you have the Send JPEG command installed. Some of the European CMUcam's don't come with JPEG installed in the default firmware. If you compile the CMUcam2 Emulation software that comes with it and flash the board with that firmware (or grab the image from our software section), then it should work fine. The CMUcam2 GUI does not use the Send JPEG function, so that should work out of the box.

      HI Anthony thank for your message ,Cmucam3 this connect not cmucam2GUI which is the only useful software, I am under vista, and I got back hyper terminal of XP, but when I cmucam3 after connect to have connected Hyper terminal to the port USB (in COM5) I does not receive the number of the firmware Thus no connection. The leds of the cmucam3 seems to me strange,the led 4 is green and not red (power I believe) and the led 3 which, (I believe) ignites only when we insert a card SD MMC ignites by flashing 3 seconds and it is red on the place of green, while he(it) no have nevertheless not of SD MMC of connected i don t understand ,it s realy strange...

        Sorry ,i don t have look my battery were was not charge.in réality i see the number frimware in frame grber and the hyper terminal ,but i don t have a picture (it s normal ,frimware no good,) but for CMUcam2GUI i don t have the connection ,why ? i don t see the frimware ,where is the problem, needs it to make a manipulation ,i have double clic on the file jar ,after the open file i power and connect the cmucam but ,i don t see the number of firmware or another indication,it s strange it'x OK ,i have re-instal CMUcam2GUI and i've the number firmware and a grabbe frame but what she frimware and software for to have a video ? thank
